The State Theater, which opened along with the Playhouse and the Fairfax in 1984, is Victoria's premier dramatic theater. Its 2079 seats include all varieties--stalls, circle, balcony, boxes. Wheelchairs are accommodated. The vast size of its stage means it can hold big productions such as ballets and musicals, and it has the capacity for a full orchestra pit to complement such lavish performances.
