Walk through the bookstore and you will find yourself in what is said to be Australia's largest food cooperative. Members and non-members of this volunteer-run food organization can take advantage of the low mark-up on fresh, organic fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, herbal teas, dried fruits, dried sea vegetables, snacks, sweets, tofu, oils and free-range eggs. There is a very good range of Japanese and macrobiotic products. Soaps, bulk shampoos, cleaning products and cosmetics are also available. Bring your own containers as all products are displayed in bulk. Profits go to the ecology action group, Friends of the Earth.
