Quality souvenirs made in Australia, rather than Asia (but always check the label to be sure!) This store offers an excellent range of T-shirts, hats (including Akubras), cuddly soft toys, postcards, books, videos, puzzles, teas, soap and hand cream that will not make you cringe in embarrassment. The staff speak several languages and are very helpful--but they will also let you browse in peace if that is what you want. Also at Southgate, Chadstone and Melbourne Airport.
