Surrounded by leafy streets and elegant houses, High Street offers shopping for the cashed up and image conscious. Long known for its galleries and antique stores, the street is also fast becoming a fashion hot-spot. Amongst the street’s topiary trees and chic cafes, you’ll find trend-setting boutiques such as Chambermaid (at 1052), Bue (5/1122) and label-of-the-moment Scanlan and Theodore (1031). Most of the antique shops and galleries are west of Kooyong Road, including Sotheby’s (926) and the Australian art auctioneer Joel Fine Art (935-939). For something unique, visit B.C.
