Established back in 1883, MSD is a well-known name and its two-level city store is always thronged with teenagers looking for that elusive pair of trainers, and serious sports people looking for the right gear. Its selection is not particularly strong on equipment such as racquets and balls, but it does boast an impressive stock of shoes and sportswear, with a selection of brands including Speedo, Umbro, Vans, Brooks, Nike, Fila, Duffs and Airwalk. The store is located in the heart of the city on Swanston Street, and there are also numerous suburban branches.
