WebsiteWhen it was constructed in 1929, the Northrop Auditorium was intended to house the entire student body, then fewer than 5,000, for informational assemblies. It is now the state's largest theater and the largest college campus auditorium in the country. It regularly hosts major touring dance and ballet companies, large theater productions, classical music performances and concerts. A stately facility, with huge white pillars gracing the front of the structure, the Northrop Auditorium dominates the main Mall on the beautiful urban campus of the University of Minnesota. Parking is available in a heated underground ramp and numerous open-air lots on the campus. Please call the Northrop Auditorium or visit the website for schedule and ticket prices.
