Conveniently located beside the Bank of Montserrat, the People's Place serves lunches, snacks and cool drinks. This small and unassuming restaurant, located in a simple wooden building, is ideal for an inexpensive lunch or a refreshing drink before or after conducting business at the bank. Main dishes include chicken, fish and spare ribs served with vegetables and rice. On Fridays and Saturdays you can sample goatwater, Montserrat's national dish (a tasty goat stew with lots of gravy, served in a cup with a roll). On Friday night pizzas are a popular specialty. The bar sells both alcoholic and soft drinks.
