Website | EmailFounded in 1817, this is the oldest Seminary of the Episcopal Church. An oasis in a hurried city, men and women from around the world come to study for the ministry. The grounds are a series of buildings surrounding a gorgeous garden that is in full bloom in the spring and summer. It is home to the St. Marks Library, the largest Episcopal seminary library in the United States. The seminary's set of 15 Durfee tubular tower chimes can be heard throughout Chelsea, welcoming parishioners to mass; services are held daily in the chapel and open to the public.
