This sleek lounge rode an intense wave of popularity a few years ago, followed by the inevitable down phase. Now, it has reemerged as a suave local standby. Do not assume that Merc borrowed the idea of vintage couches, exposed brick and wooden beams from others in the city-they had them first. Apart from being a good hang-out, this bar is also a good place to hold private parties. MercBar's Red Room can accommodate upto 100 people and is ideal for those private functions and birthday bashes.
