Website | EmailLocated in Alphabet City, Boxcar is a tight, sometimes rocking little bar. The vibe is good, despite or perhaps because of the cramped quarters and minimal lighting. The long daily buy one get one free happy hour is a great reason to sidle up to the bar any day. It's one of the best deals in the area. There's even a tiny little garden out back for nice weather. Boxcar also hosts monthly readings for all you readers and writers out there and those who love them. It's a great place to get the night started with some bargain drinks.
