Its surroundings are picturesque, and, depending on what time you choose to visit, you could have a look in one of the many antique shops that surround the Sudhaus. Helmut Kohl wined and dined President Jacques Chirac here whilst he was still Chancellor and a number of other VIPs have enjoyed the fine cuisine. The half-timbered architecture adds to the elegant, historic surroundings. There is an excellent wine list, which includes the very best in German wine and the food is a dream. As is to be expected, the Sudhaus is not cheap but a visit here will no doubt be so unforgettable that you won't mind digging deep into your pockets.
