One of the largest annual events on Eleuthera, this festival celebrates the perfectly prickly pineapple. Held during the first weekend in June, events include a celebration of Bahamian culture with a Junkanoo parade, live music, dancing, arts and crafts demonstrations, tours of the pineapple farms, and of course a pineapple recipe contest. A mini-triathlon is also held. The bars and restaurants are usually packed to capacity into the early morning during the event, which is also the Bahamian Labor Day Weekend.
