WebsiteHaving a reputation for some of the finest sailing in the Western Hemisphere, Abaco invites participants to test their sailing skills every July at this regatta. The regatta only adds to the excitement of Bahamas Independence Week. Apart from the race itself, which takes place around the cays in the Sea of Abaco, the parties are non-stop for this festive week. Cultural exhibitions, live entertainment, beach feasts and cocktail parties lead up to the grand finale party where the winner is crowned.
