Website | EmailExhibits at this two-story frame house explore the colorful history of the Biminis. Pirates, wreckers, bootleggers, and a host of American celebrities have been temporary residents of Bimini throughout the years. Photographs and maritime artifacts chronicle the history of the island from the days of Prohibition in the United States in the 20s to Ernest Hemingway’s fishing exploits in the 50s to the present. Other items of interest include rum kegs, Martin Luther King’s immigration card from a visit in the 60s, Congressman Adam Clayton Powell’s personal effects, and signed copies of the Bahamas Constitution.
