Website | EmailLocated seven miles off the east coast of Long Island, this reef is one of the most exciting dive sites you can visit. Usually at least a dozen of the perfect predators can be found searching for food at this coral formation that is 30 feet below the water's surface. Most of the sharks are of the Bahama grey tipped variety but it is not uncommon to see a hammerhead or two join the fray. Stell Maris Resort Diving is the most experienced operation that comes here. The instructors will guide you on how to behave among the sharks. Trips include a 20-minute swim during which you can take pictures. Safety is paramount so only certified divers can come along.
