Website | EmailAt the southern tip of Great Abaco, a group of scientists has ensconced itself into a lighthouse with the goal of studying local whales and dolphins and determining their frequency of occurrence and number of species. The project began in 1991 and moved to the lighthouse (which is still in use, but automated) in 1997. Visitors are welcome, but visits are informal and you should contact the group via email before arriving. The road is unpaved and difficult to traverse. There is no phone, but you can contact the group at Sapodilly's Bar & Grill in Marsh Harbour.
