A bit of local mythology: Chickcarnies are an Andros anomaly, red-eyed, three-fingered creatures somewhere between men and birds that live atop the island's pine trees. The Chickcarnie is supposed to be quite vain: if you don't show the proper respect, you could be in for punishment. If you happen upon one, stripping down to your skivvies is the wisest course: without clothes, you've got nothing to hide. The hotel is named for these creatures, but you probably won't need to worry about stumbling into any on the grounds. The hotel is in close proximity to fishing and other marine activities. All rooms offer air-conditioning, TVs and private baths.
