Website | EmailDesigned by Sir Giles Scott, the 11 floors in this building (three of which are underground) are cleverly arranged in a pyramid-like shape to ensure they avoid overshadowing nearby buildings. This is part of a central group of Bodleian Library buildings, linked by a system of underground tunnels and containing over six million books and 100 miles of shelving. A copy of every new publication is automatically sent to the library, so the collection is constantly increasing. Please note that this building is not open to the public.
