Today, the Botanic Garden has evolved into a collection of over 8,000 plants in a compact, beautifully laid out setting accurately reflecting the appearance of a Tudor or Stuart college garden. It can easily be missed, tucked away close to the edge of the central district, but is well worth the extra few hundred yards' walk to the end of High Street. Closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.
