Situated on the Magdalen roundabout between Iffley Road and Cowley Road, this is one of the most popular student pubs in Oxford. It used to be a cheap place to drink, but nowadays is relatively expensive. With a music venue upstairs, the pub can feel more like a pre-gig bar than a traditional spot to sit down and relax over a pint. However, if you want to go somewhere with a busy, Friday-night sort of atmosphere, this place is ideal. There are even benches outside in case you need to take a breather.
