Website | EmailThe UPP used to be an art-house cinema like the Phoenix, but economics have put an end to that. Now it seems to show all the films you missed the first time round, which can be a real boon for the more dozey film-lover. Unlike most cinemas, it has a refreshing attitude to food and drink: you can actually take your own inside, so you don't have to eat popcorn. Smoking is also allowed. Tickets are cheaper than most cinemas (around £5.50) and there are late showings at weekends.
