WebsiteThe Musée d'Orsay has opened its doors to Russia this autumn by conducting an exhibition on the various Russian art forms. During the second half of the 19th century, the Russian artists decided to move away from the Western models of art taught in Moscow and St Petersburg. This led to the resurgence of Slavonic Art, which reached its highpoint in the Neo-Russian movement, amalgamating all the artistic disciplines. Thus the art found its true Russian identity. It is this identity that is going to be celebrated in this exhibition.
