Website | EmailThis Château, originally built by an Italian banker in 1635, had fallen into disrepair when its transformation began in the 1980s. The Conseil Général du Val d'Oise bought the property in 1987, and entirely restored it for the grand opening in 1994 of an extensive hommage to the Impressionist movement. The world-famous artistic style was particularly intertwined with this region's history. Art exhibitions and events are regularly organized at the Château d'Auvers. The chateau itself is surrounded by gardens, and a boutique and restaurant are also on-site.
