WebsiteVisitors are guaranteed a good laugh at this crazy day of harbour side fun. The regatta, started in 1988, raises funds for the West Australian Telethon. Each year more than 250 competitors construct rafts from milk cartons, then test the rafts in a variety of races. Entrants dress up to coordinate with their creative rafts - anything from a model titanic to a pedal-powered craft. The day also includes a sandcastle competition, and plenty of beachside activities and entertainment. Admission: Spectators free. Race entrance fee AUD12.
