Website | EmailThis gothic style building, built between 1868 and 1870, was painstakingly constructed from bricks kilned at the nearby Queens Gardens. It is the only convict built town hall in Australia. The main feature of the hall, an imposing clock tower with a peal of three bells, chimes on the quarter hour. Perth City Council administers the hall and tours of the interior can be arranged. A good time to visit, without an appointment, is Tuesday mornings when regular shows are held.
