One favorite feature is the nostalgic carousel, which is set in an enormous glass rotunda for the young and the young at heart. Enjoy the only desert botanical garden in a shopping center. More than 100 plants native to the Mojave, Soran and Chihuahuan deserts are featured. This is an example of xeriscaping, a means of preserving water in the desert using appropriate vegetation. Sporting an amphitheater in the plaza, free concerts run every Saturday evening from March through October.
