Irvington Walking Tour

Historic Hike

Northeast 15th Avenue and Northeast Beech Street
Portland, OR 97212

Phone: +1 503 774 4522

This two-mile jaunt takes you through one of the most historic parts of Portland. The old trees, horse rings on the curbs, and enormous city homes hark back to another time. The walking tour takes you past craftsman, colonial, prairie-house and bungalow-style homes, all built between 1906 and 1925. This area suffered during the crime wave and financial depression of the 1980s. Now it's probably the hottest real estate in the metro area. Get the map for the tour at Portland bookstores or check the Web site.
