Unpretentious and perhaps a little unassuming from the outside, Madonna's decor and relaxed ambience come as a pleasant surprise once you are inside. The menu offers moderately-priced traditional Italian dishes, pizzas and pasta, and the food is dependable and good. The vicinity of Rauðarárstígur has recently entered the scene as a restaurant area, and forms a fairly calm counterpart to the busier Laugavegur.
