Website | EmailIngólfsskáli claims to be located under Mt Ingólfsfjall, at the original settlement of Ingólfur Arnarsson, the first Icelandic settler, who later moved to Reykjavík. The design of the building follows the architectural style thought to have characterized the Viking houses of the period. Ingólfsskáli mainly caters to groups, each group holding at least 20 people. A banquet hall seats up to 250 people, and the emphasis is on creating an atmosphere in which patrons can enjoy traditional and interesting surroundings. The menu is flexible, depending on the needs of each group, often fish and soup for lunches, lamb or other meat dishes for dinner.
