Thor is the name of Iceland's most famous coastguard vessel, now permanently moored in Hafnarfjörður harbour, having been transformed into a seafood restaurant with a history of the only war Icelanders ever fought, the Cod War. A museum as well as a restaurant, Thor is worth a visit, decorated with photos and memorabilia from the heyday of Thor, and offering seafood at sea, so to speak, in a seafaring, cosy ambience.
