Website | EmailQuaint and serene, Hótel Valhöll is surrounded by history and nature's splendour in Thingvellir National Park. Thingvellir is the former site of Iceland's Althing, the world's oldest surviving parliament. It is also a site of geological interest as the canyon behind Valhöll is the meeting point of two tectonic plates, and the Park's spectacular landscape is the result of the geological upheaval from the clashing of these plates. The restaurant itself is dignified while maintaining a comfortable and above all elegant atmosphere. The menu emphasises seafood, usually offering fresh trout caught in Thingvallavatn Lake.
