Aside from the great city views, the cobbled streets and the smattering of good museums Museu da Chácara do Céu and Convento de Santa Teresa, this neighborhood is a great place to visit. The best way to climb the hill is to take the across the Arcos da Lapa aqueduct. There are plenty of 19th-century mansions to distract the architecturally minded and the Bar do Arnaudo is an intellectual and artistic venue.
