With a clientele of artists, poets and musicians, this restaurant is famous for serving late night meals. After an evening out, people come from all over to enjoy the sandwiches. Established in 1959, Cervantes offers what some people say are the best sandwiches in Rio, especially the ham/pork with pineapple filling. The décor is simple, with a counter for sandwiches at the front and a sitting area in the back for hot meals.
