The razor blade was invented in 1902 by King Campbell Gillette, a plug salesman. This everyday disposable item has been collected and displayed in this original museum. In fact, it is not the blades themselves but the paper they are wrapped in that stimulated the urge to make this collection. The wrappers from the 1920s and 1930s paint a picture of the period with rhymes or themes such as animals, means of transport, advertising slogans for cosmetics, medicinal cigarettes etc. The collection has been put together by Alfonso Tozzi and numbers around 21,000 items. Admission: Free.
