The Duse theatre opened for the first time in 1927 for cultural evenings but was forced to close in 1940 because of the war. It remained closed until 1970 when it was used as an audition and rehearsal stage. The actor Massimiliano Terzo had it rebuilt and equipped with modern technologies as a miniature theatre able to seat 50 spectators. It reopened in 1985. It offers classic productions by authors like Molière and Goldoni as well as contemporary productions by Italian and foreign authors.
