Home to Hotel on the Cay, this small island in the center of Christiansted Harbor is easily reached by ferry from the Christiansted waterfront. The small beach and adjacent bar and restaurant are open to the public. Rent water sports equipment, including windsurfers, kayaks and Sea Doos at the hotel-based St. Croix Watersports (+1 340 773 7060) The beach is usually on the quiet side except when a tour of cruise ship passengers arrives with dozens of people. The ferry costs USD3 for a round trip that lasts about 10 minutes each way, but the beach is free.
