Website | EmailA gem in the city, the Missouri History Museum is the story of Missouri in one massive building. Besides being an exhaustive reference smorgasbord, the heart of the museum is with the public. From independent film viewings, to poignant exhibits, to concerts on the front lawn, one may have to be reminded that it actually is a museum. The sometimes controversial, yet always stimulating programs allow people from all walks of life to interact, learn from each other, and respectfully hash out differences concerning current and historical events. And get this: EVERYTHING IS FREE!! Even the traveling exhibits are free on Tuesdays. It’s definitely a museum making history.
