Website | EmailSituated some 10km from Salzburg in the village of Großgmain, this open-air museum consists of some 50 historical farm buildings dating from the 15-20th century. Visitors can learn about ancient agricultural techniques and see how country people used to live in the days before electricity. Traditional music and dance is performed in the summer. From November until March the museum is closed but around Christmas from 26th of Dec. until 7th of Jan. it is open and visitors can take a romantic sleigh ride through the snow in the winter.
