The memorial and adjacent museum for Michael Haydn can be found in the courtyard of St. Peter's abbey. The memorial was built in 1984 and this year they present an exhibition about Michael Haydn's life. You can view original images, autographs, early prints and a video on Haydn's life and work. Michael Haydn (1737-1806) was a very important musician at the Salzburg court in the 18th century. There are regular concerts at 5 p.m. with young musicians, most of whom students or graduates from the 'Mozarteum' music academy.
