EmailLogically, the University Church is situated near the university - on the so-called University Square to be precise. When stepping through the tiny "Ritzerbogen" onto the square, the massive building, designed by architect Johannes Bernhard Fischer von Erlach cannot possibly be missed. This building, built from 1694-1707, is definitely von Erlach's most important structure. Over the years, a few elements have been added - for instance, the sand-stone figures in 1910! Note: the church is also known as the Stiftskirche.
