Since 1952, this garden has been promoting Costa Rican orchid conservation. As part of the University of Costa Rica, the garden organizes open courses where you can learn to grow orchids, use medicinal plants, or learn to identify birds, insects and butterflies, which you can also listen to and watch on the 10.7-hectare farm. Additionally, via guided tours, you can see other plants, palms and a bamboo collection.
