Undoubtedly La Concha Beach is one of San Sebastian's most internationally-known images. Its beauty makes it one of the prettiest places in the world to take a walk. It is flanked on either side by Mount Urgull and Mount Igeldo and sheltered in front by Isla de Santa Clara. A good place to start your walk is on the quay, then pass between the Royal Nautical Club and the City Hall. Continuing along the promenade, another of the city's symbols, you come to the Perla spa complex. Carry on till you reach what's commonly known as "Pico del Loro" (Parrot's Beak), under the Miramar Palace. At this point La Concha comes to an end, and the city's second beach, Ondarreta, with its different, less urbanized landscape begins. The walk continues to the Peine de los Vientos (Wind Comb) statue, which provides a very distinct, but equally attractive, view of the Concha Bay.
