There is no other shop in San Sebastian quite like Suministros Kai. Time stops here, and you’re reminded of an old photograph of a more leisurely era. Suministros Kai has, for more than 50 years, been in the business of all things maritime, primarily fishing and sailing equipment, for both professionals and lovers of the sea. The shop, located in the Parte Vieja, is designed in accordance with its merchandise, which is vast and decorative as well as functional. Some of the things you’ll find here are: watches, nets, rods, hooks, flies, barometers, reels, baskets, reef knots, watches, diving suits, old telescopes, and even paintings with fishing/sailing seascapes. Suministros Kai is particularly known for its miniature ship models, which are incredibly faithful to their seafaring counterparts.
