This cake shop is one of the most well-established shops in San Sebastian. They started making sweets in a traditional fashion back in 1886, and have obviously accumulated a wealth of experience. They try to maintain the original spirit of the place and indeed the shop has undergone very few renovations and alterations over the course of time. In their preparations they have also endeavoured to maintain the secrets and recipes that initially made them famous. Proof of this lies in the fact that until 1995 they still worked in a single room in the shop!
