Wintertime in Sedona offers lovely opportunities in some areas that are commonly busy during the peak season. Rise early and head out to the self-guided Crescent Moon trail at Red Rock Crossing, the location of more than 60 motion pictures. For a nominal fee(USD5) you may park and access the trail and picnic area. Bring your camera for tranquil photos of Cathedral Rock's red beauty, reflected in the waters of Oak Creek. Though an easy trail to follow, be certain to bring water, as none is available.
