Built around a stone altar that was erected in 1394, this park was created in 1921 during Japan's occupation of Korea. The main gate has been designated a National Treasure. Sajik Park is also home to other famous historical landmarks including Tangun Hall, Chongno Municipal Library and Hwanghakjong. An archery range is located at the rear of the park and every year a national competition is held here. No wonder Koreans are so skilled in archery!
