Handling about 70 percent of Korea's oriental medicine trade, the Kyongdong market consists of over 1,000 shops and stalls. Chinese herbal medicine, traditional herbs and medicines, as well as Korean ginseng, are all sold here. A distinct odor will assail your nostrils as soon as you arrive, so at least you will know you are in the right place. At the entrance to the market, there is a price guide listing each item, so you will have some idea of what to pay.
