Website | EmailBelieve it or not, under the blue waters of Lake Jindabyne lie the ruins of the original township of Jindabyne, flooded during the building of the giant Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric scheme in the 1950s. Before flooding, most of the homes were packed onto trucks and moved, but there is a lot of history to be witnessed at the various dive sites down to around 20 metres. All dives are from a boat available to rent from the Snowline Caravan Park. Cost: Boat hire AUD34 for three hours; air fills AUD8 per cylinder.
