Costing AUD41 million, this Olympic cycling venue is named after Edgar 'Dunc' Gray, Australia's first cycling gold medal winner at the 1932 LA Olympics. There is an amphitheatre seating 3,000, and a metal decked roof with skylights to keep the shadows off the 250 metre Baltic pine curved track. The Velodrome is used for a variety of cycling activities, from world-class events to amateur meets.
