The strawberry is king at Florida Strawberry Festival, an annual event that takes place in the winter strawberry capital of the world. Every day is jammed with events including the infamous strawberry shortcake-eating contest. Famous music concerts, a grand parade, an assortment of rides for adults and children, games of chance and a wide variety of food highlight the event. Plant City is a tiny town but during this festival time it booms with tourists.
